Often regarded as the sweet spot in any Porsche model line-up, the GTS is positioned between the 4S and Turbo models. As standard 510bhp is available, but with launch control engaged, the dual-motor powertrain delivers 563bhp and 704lb-ft (955Nm) torque, sending the car to 62mph in 3.8 seconds. It’ll reach 124mph after 13.3 seconds, but most impressive is the overtaking speed: 49-74mph takes just 2.2 seconds.
The GTS shares its rear motor, strengthened transmission, and 900-amp silicon carbide pulse inverter with the Macan Turbo, and gets a dedicated track mode as seen on the Taycan GTS. This maximises battery cooling to keep the high-voltage cells in their optimal operating temperature under sustained loads. The new car also gets an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the rear axle, alongside Porsche’s Traction Management and Torque Vectoring Plus tech to make the most of the performance on offer.

Active air suspension comes as standard, and the GTS gets a bespoke tune. The ride height is lowered by 10mm, while the damping rates and anti-roll bars have been adjusted. The car boasts the lowest centre of gravity in the Macan range, and a 48:52 rear-biased weight distribution.. Rear-axle steering is available as a standalone option for those that wish for more agility.
Visually, the Macan GTS is differentiated by a new Sport Design Package. The front bumper, unique rear diffuser, wheel arch extensions, and side sills are all painted matte black as standard. We’d highly recommend spending the extra £467 to give these elements a gloss finish. Elsewhere, the adaptive headlights and tail lights feature tinted lenses, and a range of 21-22” alloy wheels are available.

Inside, the 5-seat cabin is upholstered in Race-Tex microfibre and leather as standard. If your Macan GTS has Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo, or Lugano Blue paint, the contrast stitching can be precisely matched as an additional option. A curved 12.6” instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver with three digital dials, and a 10.9” touchscreen is found in the centre of the dashboard.
An additional display of the same size can be added ahead of the front passenger seat. A 14-speaker Bose surround-sound system is standard, playing two GTS-specific driving sounds when in the Sport or Sport Plus modes.

Owing to its electric powertrain, the 476-litre boot is complimented by an 84-litre front storage compartment. This is an ideal place to store smaller items, or the car’s charging cables. When using a home wallbox, the Macan can recharge its 95kWh battery in around 13 hours. On the public network, rapid charging at up to 270kW DC returns a 10-80% top-up in just 21 minutes. When not liberally using launch control, the car is capable of up to 362 WLTP miles.
The electric Macan GTS is available to order now, and joins the V6-powered model in the Porsche range. Prices start from £89,000 before options, and deliveries are set to commence in 2026.
