The Porsche family tree has quite the legacy. The late Ferdinand Piech’s accomplishments are well documented, as are those of the company’s founder, Ferdinand Porsche. Yet neither men were the father of the 911. That honour belongs to Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, who shaped the company’s most famous model shortly after taking the helm of its design department.
Named in his honour, the GT3 90 F. A. Porsche draws from the personal car of its namesake, and even his favourite jackets. Based on the classic Oak green metallic, the brand-new shade of F. A. Green metallic has been created for the special model. Each example comes with staggered 20/21” Sport Classic five-spoke wheels finished in matte black, and the heritage Porsche crest from 1963 on the centre caps.

The engine cover hosts a handmade gold-plated badge bearing the model name. The powertrain is unchanged, with the 4.0-litre flat-six engine developing 503bhp and 332lb-ft (450Nm) of torque. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the car goes from 0-62mph 3.9 seconds, and will reach a maximum speed of 194mph.
Truffle Brown Club leather adorns the steering wheel, dashboard, door cards, and outer sections of the seats, while open-pore walnut wood features on the gear shifter, centre console, and the dashboard. All four seat centres see a checked fabric pattern called F. A. Grid-Weave, inspired by the multicolour checks commonly worn by Ferdinand Alexander. A gold badge of honour is also found on the dashboard, made of a silhouette of the original 911, and its designer’s signature.

While a Sport Chrono dial atop the dashboard of a Porsche is nothing out of the ordinary, the 90 F. A. model gets a unique clock face. After leaving Porsche, Ferdinand Alexander and his brother Hans-Peter founded Porsche Design, applying the ethos of automotive design to everyday products. Their first product, the Chronograph I watch was inspired by the dials of the 911, and the special edition’s Sport Chrono clock pays tribute to it.
The puddle light projection of the F. A. Porsche model is unique, but one feature presented on the special edition will make its way across the range. All cars with a Paint to Sample Plus finish will receive a label on the A-pillar from 2026.

The 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche will go on sale in April 2026, and only 90 examples will be built. One will be owned by Mark Porsche, son of Ferdinand Alexander, leaving 89 available for purchase.
Pricing will start from €351,211 - roughly £307,000 - with deliveries expected in the summer.
