Given 2026 has already seen three limited-edition GT3s, it's hard not to feel a little cynical about a fourth. The 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring does at least offer the Manthey Kit in matching colours – though on a car built to honour the Nordschleife, the only part that changes how it goes round the place remains an option.

Created exclusively for the German market, the anniversary model will become available to order in September 2026, with deliveries beginning during the Nürburgring’s centenary year. Buyers can choose between the regular GT3’s six-speed manual gearbox and seven-speed PDK transmission.

Only two colours will be available – White or GT Silver Metallic, both combined with green wrap across the front of the car and within a section of the rear bumper. Porsche says the contrasting treatment evokes the coloured markings once used to distinguish factory racing cars from one another. Green mirror caps, rear-wing endplates and removable towing eyes continue the theme, alongside California Gold wheels and historic Nürburgring emblems. Buyers can also specify an individual competition number between 0 and 999, applied to the bonnet, doors and rear window in a typeface inspired by the graffiti covering the Nordschleife.

There are no mechanical changes beneath the commemorative treatment, and nor is there any mention of weight savings. The naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six is still good for 503bhp and 9000rpm, and performance remains unchanged with 0–62mph taking 3.4 seconds in PDK form.

Co-developed between Weissach and Meuspath, the Manthey Kit combines coilover suspension and braking upgrades with a more aggressive aerodynamic package, generating up to 540kg of downforce at 177mph. A Manthey-equipped 992.2 GT3 recently recorded a 6min 50.853sec Nürburgring Nordschleife lap in the hands of reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven, shaving more than two seconds off his previous attempt, set in less than ideal conditions. Notably, the new time puts it just 1.525 seconds off the GT3 RS.

Inside, the rear roll cage and dashboard trim are finished in green, while matching material shows through the perforated driver's seat. The manual version receives the walnut gear knob used by the 911 Carrera T, supplemented by green gear markings and a 'Grüne Hölle' inscription on the steering-wheel mode selector. Further details include circuit-outline door projectors and sill plates carrying a 'Welcome to the Green Hell' inscription, illuminated in white when the doors open. The driver's headrest is embroidered with the Nürburgring logo, the passenger's with GT3 lettering.

Owners will also be offered a Sonderwunsch Manthey Experience, providing access to Manthey’s Nürburgring operation. And just in case they didn’t specify the £56,000 Kit the first time around, participants will be reminded of its benefits with a detailed breakdown. Porsche Design has also produced a matching titanium Chronograph 1, available exclusively to buyers of the car.

Porsche AG is yet to announce pricing for the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring. Its public debut will take place during the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland meeting at the circuit on 15–16 August.
