The EV4 GT marks Kia’s entry into the electric hot hatch market. The mid-sized hatchback employs a 194bhp electric motor on the front axle and a 94bhp motor at the rear, delivering a combined 288bhp and 345lb ft (468Nm) of torque. Acceleration from 0-62mph takes 5.6 seconds, while 50-75mph requires 3.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 105mph, and the maximum WLTP range is up to 313 miles.

A subtle visual makeover sees the addition of neon green brake calipers shrouded by 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black exterior trim, a bespoke rear diffuser and a GT badge on the powered tailgate. Inside, the neon green trim adorns the seats and steering wheel, and a dual 12.3-inch infotainment system sits atop the dashboard. The steering wheel and outer rear seats are heated as standard, while the front two-piece seats feature electric adjustment, heating and ventilation.
Priced from £49,345, the EV4 GT has the Mercedes-AMG A35 and Audi S3 firmly in its crosshairs. The only cost option is the paint; choosing a shade other than white adds £650 to the list price, but crucially keeps the model under the luxury car tax threshold of £50,000.

The EV3 GT is the compact crossover alternative. Following the same subtle styling directive, it gains vertical strakes within its grille, unique four-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, and trio of red reflectors in the centre of the rear bumper. The EV3 GT has a 140mm shorter wheelbase than the EV4, and a bespoke tune for its adaptive suspension.
It matches the 31-minute 10-80% rapid charge time as its larger stablemates, but offers up to 334 miles WLTP range. A powered tailgate, 8-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, head-up display, and active cruise control feature on the standard equipment list.

The EV3 GT hits 62mph from rest in 5.7 seconds, and also has a limited top speed of 105mph. The AWD model has a power and torque advantage over the front-wheel drive Abarth 600e and Vauxhall Mokka GSE, but a starting price of £48,695 makes it a more expensive option within the hot crossover segment.
A mid-sized performance SUV joins the range in the form of the EV5 GT. The larger model boasts a more spacious cabin and an uprated powertrain, with the pair of e-motors delivering 301bhp and 354lb ft (480Nm) combined. Owing to the size and weight increase, 0-62mph takes 6.2 seconds, and the maximum WLTP range stands at 295 miles.

As with its smaller stablemates, the EV5 GT features paddles behind the steering wheel to allow shifting between six simulated gear ratios. Combined with Active Sound Design tech, the car can mimic the sound and characteristics of a combustion engine with a multi-speed transmission. Prices start from £54,295.
Order books are open now for the new additions to the Kia GT range, with UK deliveries set to commence at the end of 2026.
